My client is a leading provider of well testing services and completion flowbacks - both onshore and offshore and has been for over 3 decades. They urgently require Service Technicians to take part in this multi million dollar project. The main purpose of the ROV Service Technician is to control the subsea well intervention system on location. Initially this will involve liaising with their controls partner to help integrate and test the control system to ensure a fit for purpose field system. This will be the most complicated ROV control system ever deployed. Required Knowledge and Experience • Degree or equivalent qualification i.e. HNC in Electrical Engineering. • Extensive experience in wells related subjects including the specific technology being provided • Minimum 3-5 year’s relevant oilfield experience. Must be fully competent on all ROV operations and functions. • Effective communicator – able to keep the Client and Management informed at all times • Experienced in the control systems of ROV’s and the HMI’s. Be able to communicate between field requirements and engineering design. Responsibilities • Initially to field test the project winch on land location prior to taking it Subsea. • Compiling comprehensive, unambiguous and complete end of job reports. • Successfully operating the ROV’s and Control Systems. • Producing instrument performance reports and equipment status sheets on completion of the job and ensuring they are copied to the Maintenance Supervisors.
