Chief Engineer - Drillship - Singapore, India This innovative niche player, is looking to recruit a Chief Engineer to work on a Drillship which is currently being overhauled and re-commissioned in Singapore, thereafter it will be drilling in India. They are looking for people to join them in or around March 2009. Your duties will consist of, amongst others, managing the maintenance department, ensuring the companies goals are met in relation to safety, environment, operational effectiveness, cost control, staff turnover, etc, you will ensure adequate supplies and parts are kept onboard for your department, complete all paperwork required by the company including engine room logs, Preventative Maintenance Reports and weekly safety meetings. You will assist with DP on arrival and departure from drilling location, assist the Toolpusher as required, ensure all staff in your department comply with safety regulations. You must have a minimum of 5 years offshore experience working as a Chief Engineer with at least 2 of these years on a Drillship or on a Semi Rig. You should have experience of DP. You must hold a STCW 95 III/2. You must also be in possession of valid offshore survival certificates including a HUET. An extremely competitive package is available for the right candidate. Rotation will be 4x4.
