2nd Engineer - Drillship - Singapore, India This innovative niche player, is looking to recruit a 2nd Engineer to work on a Drillship which is currently being overhauled and re-commissioned in Singapore, thereafter it will be drilling in India. They are looking for people to join them in or around March 2009. Your duties will consist of, amongst others, reporting to the Chief Engineer, responsible for the maintenance of mechanical equipment so as to prevent down time by ensuring companies preventative maintenance program is adhered to, working safely and carrying out repairs timeously, you should have knowledge of PMS, DP power management system and hydraulic systems amongst others, you should maintain accurate logs as required, you will supervise maintenance crews as required by Chief Engineer. You must have a minimum of 3 years offshore experience working as a 2nd Engineer with at least one of those years on a Drillship or on a Semi Rig. You should have experience of DP. You must hold a STCW 95 III/2 Certificate. You must also be in possession of valid offshore survival certificates including a HUET. An extremely competitive package is available for the right candidate. Rotation will be 4x4.
