DPO - Drillship - Singapore, India This innovative niche player, is looking to recruit a DPO to work on a Drillship which is currently being overhauled and re-commissioned in Singapore, thereafter it will be drilling in India. They are looking for people to join them in or around March 2009. Your duties will consist of, amongst others, reporting to the Captain, responsible for exercising effective control and ensuring the efficient operation of the drillship''s station keeping system, you will be aware of the operating procedures, standing orders and equipment status, you will also act as a deck officer when required, you will control the drillship using joystick and manual controls, you will fully understand thrust units, power management, power supply and maintenance requirements, you will have knowledge of the drillship''s operational capabilities and footprints and of the drillship''s FMEA, you will keep in contact with the drill floor and engine control room and must keep detailed records. You must have a minimum of 3 years offshore experience working as a DPO on a Drillship or on a Semi Rig. You should have a detailed understanding of the DP computer system and hold a Dynamic Positioning Certificate. You must also be in possession of valid offshore survival certificates including a HUET. An extremely competitive package is available for the right candidate. Rotation will be 4x4.
